25th Edition Highlander Hybrid

25th Edition Highlander Hybrid

The 25th Edition Highlander Hybrid is a Celebration of a Major Milestone

Toyota is celebrating 25 years of one of its most popular models with a special edition. The Toyota Highlander was first introduced in 2000, the first mid-size SUV built on a car platform. The Highlander and Camry shared this platform, both of which are still in production today.

Introduction of an Award-winner

Being built on a car platform provided smoother handling while allowing for an elevated height with the versatility buyers expect in an SUV. Within seven years, the Highlander sold over one million units. This model was awarded Best Midsize SUV by Consumer Reports in 2002. In 2006, Popular Mechanics named it as the winner for Automotive Excellence. The next year, Consumer Reports named the Highlander as a Top Pick. The second-generation model was introduced in 2007. Since then, this SUV has continued to win awards and be recognized as a premier family ride with seating for eight.

The 25th Edition Highlander

In honor of a quarter century of production, Toyota has developed the Highlander 25th Edition model. The base model for this special edition is the Highlander Hybrid Limited AWD with unique features added. This model includes 20-inch wheels, silver accents on the front and rear bumpers, and side-rockers. You get two color options with Wind Chill Pearl and the new Heavy Metal shade. Leather-trimmed seating showcases the sophisticated side of the SUV. Portobello is the color for the upholstery, adding to the distinct appearance of this special edition. You’ll find the 25th Edition logo on the front headrests, rear liftgate, carpet floor mats, and illuminated door sills.

Technology is upscale as you would expect for the 25th anniversary of such a prestigious model. This trim comes with an 11-speaker JBL Premium audio system and a 12.3-inch color digital gauge cluster. The Toyota Audio Multimedia system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen as well. Also part of the special edition trim are three zone automatic climate control and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+.

Other Models for the 2025 Highlander

While the 25th anniversary trim is the highlight of the 2025 Highlander, other changes have also been made. For instance, all Highlander HEV models include Electronic On-Demand All Wheel Drive as standard. The new Heavy Metal color is available on the HEV XLE, Limited, and Platinum trims as well as the 2.4L Turbo XLE, Limited, and Platinum trims. All hybrid models feature Beyond Zero HEV badging on the rear of the SUV. Cement is a new color for the XSE 2.4L trim.

If you’re interested in the special edition Highlander or any of the 2025 models, you can expect them to start arriving at dealerships in November 2024.
