Bell Road Toyota Joins Toyota in Celebrating 8 million Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Sales Milestone
Early in December, Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV) sales exceeded the 8 millionth TCUV sold, making Toyota the number one CPO vehicle in the nation. Naturally, Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) representatives showed up after the historic sale in Laurel, MD with a gift for the lucky buyer, presenting a check to the customer for the total price of the Toyota Camry to mark the milestone.
As an additional gift, the customer also received a one-year subscription to Sirius XM. Further, the representatives made a donation in their name to Active Minds in the amount of $10,000 on behalf of Toyota and Carfax. Active Minds is a not-for-profit entity that is the nation’s leading organization promoting mental health awareness and education for young adults. TCUV Program
Toyota customers know they can trust the Toyota name and that Toyota stands by their vehicles. Toyota brand name vehicles are high-quality, safe, dependable, and durable. This is why the TCUV program is the most successful CPO program in the nation. The TCUV program began in 1996 and has been the number one CPO program for 16 consecutive years.
A vehicle can only be inducted into the TCUV Gold program if it meets stringent requirements. First, the vehicle must pass a quality assurance inspection which includes interior and exterior inspections to display the highest qualities of condition, appearance, engine performance, braking, tire and suspension wear, electronic system operation, and transmission and transaxle performance. This thorough inspection includes hybrid, electric, and fuel cell component coverage.
Gold TCUV Criteria and Benefits
Criteria for a Gold Certified TCUV includes the following traits:
- Inspection: Passing a 160-point inspection.
- Age: No more than six model years old.
- Mileage: no more than 85,000 miles on the odometer.
Benefits include:
- 12-month/12,000-mile limited comprehensive warranty.
- 7-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain Warranty.
- 7-year/100,000-miles of 24-hour Roadside Assistance.
- Extended Warranty Coverage that can be transferred at no cost.
- Free CARFAX Vehicle History Report.
- Standard new-car financing rates.
- Warranty honored at over 1,400 Toyota dealerships in the continental U.S. and Canada.
Silver TCUV Criteria and Benefits
Earlier this year, Toyota launched a Silver TCUV program. Criteria for this level includes the following traits and benefits:
- Age: Up to 10 model years old.
- Mileage: Between 60,000 and 125,000 miles on the odometer.
- Inspection: Pass a 136-point Quality Assurance Inspection.
Benefits at the Silver level include the following:
- 12-month/12,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.
- 24-hour Roadside Assistance for 12 months or 12,000 miles.
- Free CARFAX Vehicle History Report.
- Warranty honored at over 1,400 Toyota dealerships across the continental U.S. and Canada.
- Extended warranty coverage is transferable at no cost.
